Beanie for Brain Cancer Day at Club Lake Cathie – 4 October

September 1, 2026

Join Us for Beanie for Brain Cancer Day on NRL Grand Final Sunday

This Sunday 4 October, Club Lake Cathie is going all out in support of the Mark Hughes Foundation’s Beanie for Brain Cancer Day. It’s Grand Final Sunday, the biggest day in rugby league, and we’re making it even more special by raising vital funds for brain cancer research.

Grab a beanie for $29 at Club Lake Cathie. Every purchase directly supports the Mark Hughes Foundation and their ongoing work in the fight against brain cancer. Beanies are available now in the club, so don’t wait until Sunday to pick yours up.

Halftime Haircut Challenge

If watching the Grand Final isn’t enough excitement, we’ve got something extra lined up at halftime. Three brave staff members and club members will be taking a seat in the chair for a haircut – all in the name of raising money for this incredibly important cause. It’s going to be a memorable moment and your support will make it count.

Come along, pull on your beanie, cheer on your team, and join a community that’s coming together for something bigger than the game. Every dollar raised goes towards research that could change lives.

You can also donate directly to the Mark Hughes Foundation online at mark-hughes-foundation.grassrootz.com.

Come together. Wear your beanie. Support brain cancer research.
